The other day as I was watching “The Daily Show” their “staff reporter” Samantha Bee had a section on robots/technology/nanorobotics; and somehow the conversation switched to sex… Naturally when I hear anything about sex I tend to listen intently

It was said that within the coming years (some time in the future); robots would become so life like that they could actually become our lovers. I thought it kind of weird yet at the same time intriguing. Naturally as any comedian would Samantha Bee was actually joking at the time, yet I personally don’t find it that hard to believe. It was only 30 some odd years ago that we were walking on the moon; now we are sending all sorts of things to mars; technology has moved in leaps and bounds within 30 years; imagine what will be available in a couple centuries.

Now it’s no leap of faith that with the pace technology is moving that we could have fuckable androids/robots within the next couple hundred years. But, there is a big difference between it being physically possible and it being accepted…. Tracing back; a hundred years ago who would have thought the feminist movement would be where it is today within our society; where men are no longer needed to derive pleasure but merely as a necessity to pro-creation…. Hell a hundred years ago it would have been inconceivable to use a dildo or vibrator; getting pleasure from sex was un-lady like; seeking pleasure was simply for the slutty girls… Or for us guys, do you honestly believe that it was conceivable that guys could some day jerk off with fake pussies that feel eerily close to the real thing (or that it would be accepted). But, as we have seen time and again; times change, technology changes, people change and certainly attitudes change.

Getting off my tangent; having a robot/android for sexual purposes could have its benefits.

Can ya say permanent and easily accessible fuckbuddy…. I could see how it would be handy to someone without a significant other who instead of coming home and rubbing one out could just screw the help… If it floats your boat then to each his own. Who am I to judge….

Guys, imagine not having to chase after a girl anymore, no more headaches or being turned down. Ladies imagine not having to put up with emotional toying or the constant feelings of neglect from your significant other simply to get your much needed release.

Some would argue that women and men already use sex toys (dildo’s, vibrators, butt plugs) to get their rocks off why would this be any different? These could simply be viewed as expanded offerings of sex toys. Honestly I can’t provide an answer, I’m simply pondering a what if scenario; perhaps the opposing view has a point….

All rambling and thoughts aside; it’s not like I would be the first to jump and hit that; I personally like the feeling of a warm body next to mine in the sack. Call me crazy but I don’t mind the awkward moment after a hot night of love with someone you barely know or the smell of sex emanating from my partner, its her own unique primal scent that I’m positive cannot be reproduced artificially no matter how much we try; these tidbits of everyday normality are in my opinion a part of what makes us human and just a joyful and irreplaceable part of life that no matter how much technology advances/mimics will never be able to fully reproduce.

I would love to hear comments and ideas on this as I find it really; for lack of a better word “amusing”. Would you go where no man has gone before?
